Jayma Mays in Pushing Daisies

Born on July 16, 1979 in Grundy, Virginia Jayma Mays spent her initial years in Virginia. After her graduation in 1997 she joined Radford University for a major in Performing arts. While in university she played the numerous roles and even got a chance to spend one season at Timothy Busfield’s B Street Theatre in Sacramento, California.

Later Jayma moved to Los Angeles to excel her career in acting. She started with a guest role on the Friends spin-off in 2004 and then appeared in The Comeback, Six feet under and Stacked. She got her first role in big screen in the movie Red Eye in 2005 which starred Rachel McAdams. In the year 2006 she appeared in the Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Entrouge and House M.D. Jayma’s career excelled in the year 2006 and 2007. She started her television acting career from the September 2004 NBC sitcom Joey. She got many roles on television as well as in the movie and also got role in The Heroes and little appearance in Ugly Betty. She was also prominently featured in the series Nice Girls Don’t get the Corner Office which has Kathryn Hahn. While on big screen she was casted in Smiley Face and Epic movie with Faune A. Chambers.

In recent times she was featured in a music video Awakening for the rock band Switchfoot. She is playing a role of a character who dances to the single on a Dance Revolution mat. Besides her role in Heroes she also appeared in series like Joey, The Comeback, How I Met Your Mother, House, Entourage, Pushing Daisies, and Ugly Betty. She played the role of Charlie in many series of Ugly Betty. She also appeared in Red Eyes with Jack Coleman’s wife, Beth Toussaint.

Jayma Mays had an excellent career as she was prominently featured in both television and big screen. Her appearance in popular TV series Heroes excelled her career a lot and she got many opportunities to work for other TV series.

Starting this summer she will start in the new muscial comedy Glee.
